To the East of Mobile across Mobile Bay is Baldwin County, one of the fastest growing counties in Alabama. And the Southern tip touches the Gulf of Mexico. Along the Gulf Coast are beautiful Perdido Beach, Orange Beach and Gulf Shores.
Whether living or visiting Baldwin County there are so many things to do one of which is the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo which is brand new. A few of the others are Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, Waterville USA, Historic Blakeley State Park, Alligator Alley, and so much more.
Baldwin County is made up of a legacy of multicultural diversity. These culture diversities come from Africa, Czechoslovakia, Germany, Greece, France, Russia Sweden and dozens of other countries from around the world.
On the Coast is also Fort Morgan which played a big part in both The War of 1812 and The Civil War, a great place to tour. There were also numerous battles in Fort McDermott in Spanish Fort, Alabama.
Some of the cities that are well known in Baldwin County are Bay Minette, Foley, Fairhope and Spanish Fort. They are well known for shopping, especially Arts and Crafts. Baldwin County has two colleges Faulkner State Community College and Fortis College and one University, the Columbia Southern University.
